Police charge two people after a man was set on fire in Dudley Park on Saturday night

POLICE have charged a 15-year-old boy and a 37-year-old man over an incident in Mandurah on Saturday night where a man was allegedly set on fire.

At around 6.40pm on August 4 police were called to a disturbance on Durras Place in Dudley Park, where a man was on fire.

Police attended the scene and located a 34-year-old man who was suffering from burns and other injuries.

The man was taken by St John Ambulance to Fiona Stanley Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with grievous bodily harm and will face Perth Children’s Court today.

A 37-year-old man from Dudley Park has been charged with wilfully destroying evidence after he allegedly deleted CCTV footage the incident was recorded on.

He will appear in Mandurah Magistrates Court on August 21.
