POLICE claim a man washed his genitals in a Perth water fountain, in front of members of the public.

Daniel Bruce Kidd pleaded guilty to street drinking, two counts of disorderly behaviour in public and three counts of breach of bail when he appeared in Mandurah Magistrates Court today .

Police prosecutor Tamara Read said Kidd was drinking from a large champagne glass on Roe Street on October 20. She said when police spoke to him, Kidd smashed the glass and was abusive to police.

Senior Constable Read said Kidd washed his genitals in a water fountain in November and then went into Typo and knocked things over. She said when Kidd was waiting for arresting officers, he abused women walking past.

The duty lawyer said Kidd had been in a state of dysfunction at the time. He said Kidd had been handing out flyers to an event during the October incident. Kidd had Dutch courage and was acting lively, but police were serious.

The lawyer said Kidd disputes the crude actions described in the November incident. However, both incidents were linked to drink.

Kidd was fined $1800.
