Police Internal Affairs Unit investigating a serious crash in Dudley Park last night

Motorbike rider seriously injured in Dudley Park crash.

THE Police Internal Affairs Unit is overseeing the circumstances surrounding a serious motorcycle crash in Dudley Park last night.

Police were trying to stop a motorcycle at 9.30pm when it crashed into a fence and the driver was seriously injured.

The black and red Hyosung motorcycle was travelling south on Coolibah Avenue and failed to negotiate the T-junction at the intersection of Leslie Street. The motorcycle crashed into a fence on the southern side of the intersection.

The motorcycle was carrying a driver and pillion passenger who were both wearing helmets.

The 20-year-old male rider suffered serious injuries and was taken to Peel Health Campus before being flown to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment. The 35-year-old male passenger was taken to Peel Health campus for treatment for his injuries.

Major Crash investigators are seeking witnesses who may have seen the crash or the motorcycle in the area just prior to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report a Crime Stoppers.
