Police investigating Mandurah stranger danger incident

MANDURAH police are investigating reports a  man made a “suspicious approach” to an eight-year-old girl in Meadow Springs yesterday.

A post on ‘Attempted Child Abduction Alerts – Perth’ regarding the incident went viral on social media.

Mandurah officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Stephen Thompson confirmed they are investigating the incident.

Snr Sgt Thompson described the incident as a suspicious approach.

The man was described as “scruffy and overweight” with fair skin.

He reportedly tried to lure the girl into his car at a Puma petrol station about 4.50pm.

He was driving a blue Falcon station wagon.
