Police seek Burswood attacker

A MAN received significant injuries after a knife attack in Burswood on March 27.

Perth detectives need the public's help with their investigation into this attack.

On a Friday night, between 11pm and 1am, a 44-year-old East Perth man was with friends on Burswood Road in Burswood, when he decided to walk along Egham Road.

An unknown man approached the victim and attacked him with a knife, leaving a wide laceration on his neck.

The victim managed ran away towards Burswood Road.

There were several cars in the area at the time, but none stopped.

The victim flagged down a taxi which took him to Royal Perth Hospital.

The man's injuries required surgery and 36 staples to close the wound.

Police would like anyone who was in the area or saw the incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
