Port Bouvard Yacht Club sets sail on 2017-18 season

PORT Bouvard Yacht Club welcomed a number of guests to the opening of the 2017-18 sailing season.

Commodore John Hunt expressed gratitude to everyone for their support of the Sailability program.

Sailability is aimed at encouraging people with disabilities to enjoy the pleasures of sailing on the Harvey Estuary.

The club has bought two boats that have a number of design features to allow people with disabilities to discover sailing.

As well as Sailability, the club has a range of other types of sailboats which members race on Saturdays, including catamarans, Flying 15s and trailers yachts.

New members are welcome.
