Prescribed burn set for autumn/winter around Peel Health Campus

It is being held to reduce the risk of bushfires to the hospital and other nearby commercial and residential buildings.

The burn will be managed on behalf of Ramsay Health Care in consultation with the City of Mandurah, Department of Fire and Emergency Services and the Department of Parks and Wildlife.

It will be held in bushland between Lakes Road, Teranca Road and Minilya Parkway at the rear of the campus.

Traffic management will be in place during the burn.

People are reminded to drive with extreme care, follow speed restriction advice or avoid the area if possible.

In the interests of safety, the public must not visit the burn area for any purpose during or after the burn.

The burn is expected to take place over two days. The exact date will be subject to weather conditions.

The hospital will operate as normal during this time.
