The award was given for the most outstanding mid-year exam performance by a first-year Classical Vocal student and is the only award that first-year WAAPA classical students are eligible to win.
Only six other students received awards, including percussionists, a pianist and two other classical vocalists from third-year and the post-graduate degree.
