Pride in Peel: Yes, it’s party time in Mandurah

PRIDE in Peel will feature a Yes Party on Saturday, October 28.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and questioning people are welcome at the event, along with their straight allies.

Organiser Stephen Carter said members of the public were welcome to support the Marriage Equality movement in one of WA’s most diverse, artistic and cultured communities.

There will be drag show performances from Feminem, who performed on stage with Adele as Adele.

The event will be hosted by radio personality Nikki Parkinson and there will be DJ sets by Squinty and DJ Tim James.

Culture and the Arts Minister David Templeman will be a special guest.

Part of the proceeds from the party will go to the Freedom Centre, which is supporting the health and diversity of young people’s sexuality, sex and gender.
