The branch won the award from a strong field of nominees announced in Perth on Friday.

Almost 400 guests attended the gala event, including politicians, mayors, shire presidents, sponsors and finalists, to celebrate the achievements of many of regional and rural Western Australia’s highest achievers and community groups.

The Seniors Recreation Council is a not-for-profit voluntary organisation established in 2002, which provides a range of activities for seniors to enhance physical, mental and social wellbeing.

The branch committee manages the business, and 20 volunteers are involved in the delivery of activities and programs.
