Year 4 student Danica Old and Year 7 student Shay Fuller will have their artwork become part of the Safety House Poster in 2014.

Pinjarra Safety House co-ordinator Jennifer Sampson said she was excited about the win, as Pinjarra has benefited from the program for five years.

‘We are looking to cover more areas throughout Mandurah, as the well known Safety House letter box logos and school signs send a clear message to the general public that this is an area that cares for kids,’ she said.

Ms Sampson said there are houses in Pinjarra, including the Country River Estate, South Yunderup and North Yunderup.

They are looking for more houses in Ravenswood and North Pinjarra. In Mandurah, there are safety houses in Greenfields.

Ms Sampson hopes that along with Kathy McIntosh, a new co-ordinator in Falcon, they can gather support to cover the rest of Peel.

‘So whether a child or person is feeling threatened, lost, bullied or needs help, a Safety House logo found on the letterbox is a safe place to seek assistance,’ she said.
