Quad bike tragedy near Dwellingup yesterday

MAJOR Crash officers are investigating a fatal crash near Dwellingup yesterday.

Three males were riding a quad bike on an unsealed section of Scarp Road, near North Spur Road, at 3.30pm.

It is alleged the 40-year-old rider from Halls Head lost control of the bike hitting a tree. The rider and two pillion passengers were thrown off the bike.

A 16-year-old male from Coolbellup died from injuries he received. The other pillion passenger, a 17-year-old male from Coolbellup and the rider received serious injuries and were airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital.
