Ranger Red buys Peel Zoo

NEW ownership at Peel Zoo will bring a new era for the wildlife and guests of the park.

Bradley Holland (Ranger Red) took over the park last week after having worked on his mobile wildlife display for the past 10 years.

He bought the zoo to allow his animals to live and interact with the park animals so that people get to see them more.

He also has big intentions for the zoo.

Mr Holland has used his love of reptiles to create a new reptile display including, for the first time at the park, poisonous animals.

He is also bringing in saltwater crocodiles and is re-homing the 300 birds he already owns at the park.

Alongside the new attractions, the zoo will continue to breed endangered Tasmanian Devils.

“It’s great to be involved with the park,” Mr Holland said.

“The number of people that came through on the weekend was great.

“It’s been a really good response.”

The zoo will be rebranded, and guests will be able to vote on names for the park.
