Repair Cafe returns to Lakelands

Jessica NicoMandurah Coastal Times

OLD will become new again when a repair cafe returns to Lakelands next week.

After a successful inaugural event the popular initiative will return, inviting locals to bring broken or damaged clothes, toys and other miscellaneous items to Lakelands Shopping Centre where they can learn how to get them fixed.

Lakelands resident Dave Warner volunteered at the first repair cafe and said he had enjoyed being a part of it, not only through fixing things but by also offering advice to help locals fix the item themselves should it fail again.
