Riding for the Disabled State Games at Fairbridge this Saturday

YOUNG riders with disabilities from all over WA will return to Pinjarra for the Riding for the Disabled Association WA 2018 Community TAB State Games at Fairbridge this Saturday. .

The Games provides an opportunity for RDAWA riders with disabilities to get together and compete in a friendly mounted games competition, encouraging participants to demonstrate their abilities and skills while giving them the chance to showcase their achievements to family and friends.

Community TAB is an ongoing sponsor of RDAWA and a naming right sponsor of the State Games for the fourth year.

RDAWA executive officer Kelly Mansfield said the State Games were a major highlight of the year for riders.

“The State Games bring so much joy to the riders and it’s a great fun day out for all the family, including the mounted fancy dress competition,’’ she said.

“With more than 1000 riders of different ages and disabilities attending RDAWA centres around WA, this is the one annual event where everyone comes together to show the improvements they have made not only as a rider but also in their daily lives.”

Racing and Wagering WA chief executive Richard Burt said the partnership was close to the hearts of all staff at RWWA and Community TAB.

“We are proud to be associated with RDAWA and will continue to help with the upkeep and welfare of RDAWA horses and general maintenance of the organisation through out contribution,’’ he said.
