ABOUT 50 people attended the Mandurah Matters Summit at David Gray’s Arena on Saturday.

The aim of the summit was to determine a shared vision for Mandurah, to specify priorities and to identify opportunities for collective action.

Participants discussed issues such as safety, youth engagement, health, creating local jobs, supporting local business, and protecting waterways and the natural environment.

Urban futurist and former Lord Mayor of Adelaide Stephen Yarwood was the guest speaker.

He spoke about the relationships between people, technology, infrastructure, society, cities and quality urbanism.
