FOUR organisations in the Shire of Murray will receive grants in the second round of the Community Assistance Fund.
Murray Districts Rangers Soccer Club has received $600 for a soccer open day with coaching clinics and fitness awareness while recruiting new volunteers and members.
North Yunderup Community Association has received $1500 for new skate ramps at Kingfisher Park.
Dwellingup Community Compact was given $1500 to install eight 5.6-metre high street poles and banners to advertise local community and tourism initiatives.
The Yunderup Sport and Recreation Club has received $500 to help buy a defibrillator.
The club had asked for $1500.
But Peel Trails Group was unlucky in its quest for $1250 for a calendar collaboration of annual events showcasing the region’s cycling groups, services and facilities.
The council said the financial support requested was higher than that from the City of Mandurah where most of the events took place and the application had been received after the grants closed.
