THE stakes for up-front rates payments are extra sweet this year with a prize pool of more than $3570 up for grabs as part of the Shire of Murray’s annual rates incentive scheme.

Ratepayers who pay up in full before September 21 will be entered into the draw to win one of 17 prizes, the most in the scheme’s history.

The first placegetter wins two My Ultimate memberships to Murray Aquatic and Recreation Centre, valued at $992.

A three-day Fairbridge Festival entry for two adults and two children up to 17, valued at $600 goes to the second place getter.

A two night weekend for two at Quality Hotel Ambassador Perth, valued at $560, is the third prize.

Other prizes include a $200 food and beverage voucher, a double pass to WASO’s Asher Fisch Conducts Strauss and Brucker, food, golf, beer, wine, wheel alignments, high tea and pampering.

Shire president David Bolt said timely rates payments enabled a smoother funding process for projects and allowed the council to continue strengthening infrastructure and future planning.
