THE Royal Flying Doctors Service of WA is flying high with 86,700 reasons to say thank you to Independent Grocers of Australia retailers and shoppers across the State.

The donation of $86,700 from a collection of 19 IGA stores throughout regional WA, including Silver Sands and Miami, will go towards buying and upgrading RFDS medical equipment.

RFDS executive general manager corporate affairs Nick Harvey said the donation helped ensure the RFDS continued to provide its life saving services across WA.

“Their generosity helps us to continue to be there when needed, no matter where that may be across our vast 2.5 million square kilometre state, and to continue to provide lifesaving outcomes for our patients,” he said.
