FIRE fighters from New South Wales are expected to join 250 fire fighters in the South West tomorrow.

A bushfire Emergency Warning remains for East of Waroona, Hamel, Cookernup, Yarloop, Harvey and surrounding areas in the Shires of Harvey and Waroona.

There has been an evacuation order for Harvey.

More than 70,000ha have been burnt and the fire perimeter is in excess of 222km.

In Yarloop 121 houses and several other structures were lost. Counselling has been offered to the victims.

Residents in Coolup and Lake Clifton can return to their homes.

Fire incident controller Greg Mair said it would take fire fighters weeks to mop up the fire.

Police said there were no reports of looting.

There are about 3000 homes without power, but Western Power cannot gain access to repair and assess the damage.

The Waroona townsite has a generator and power.
