South West fire: three people unaccounted for

AS part of the response to the fires in the South West, WA Police is making inquiries into the whereabouts of local residents that live in the areas impacted by the fires.

This afternoon almost all residents had been accounted for, however there are still three people that WA Police has not been able to contact.

Inquiries into their whereabouts are continuing.

It is possible those people may have left the area prior to the fire. WA Police will continue to attempt to locate those persons.

Anyone who lives in the impacted area, and who left the area prior to the fire is asked to register themselves with the Australian Red Cross. Register at https://register.redcross.org.au, call the State Enquiry Centre Line on 1800 015 337 or speak to an Australian Red Cross staff member in person at an evacuation centre.
