Ms Dinsdale said she was hospitalised with an asthma attack two days ago and has had a chest infection for three weeks.

She presented to PHC at 8am yesterday coughing and with chest pains.

“I was put on fast track yesterday afternoon,” she said.

“I was told a bed would soon be available for me last night.”

She was still waiting in the emergency department at 3pm this afternoon.

“Hundreds of people have been through the ED since I got here,” she said.

“I have not showered and just want some privacy.”
