Splash!: Mandurah Performing Arts Centre has big program lined up for school holidays

MANDURAH Performing Arts Centre’s (MPAC) Splash! program features activities for kids and their families during the school holidays.

From performance, story time and workshops, there is something for everyone, including a pop up cafe with puzzles and board games on every table.

Small Voices Louder is a child-only space for playing and pondering; a magical world of tents and tepees where kids lie under clouds, talk to an alien, discover a dinosaur egg and step into a portal to the future.

Small Voices Louder is from Tuesday April 11 to Saturday, April 15 and for kids from seven up.

Slapdash Galaxy lands at MPAC on Friday, April 21 until Saturday, April 22 and is the tale of Sam and Junior, two brothers, who must flee their barren planet and embark on an epic quest across the galaxy.

Using the contents of the cleaning closet, Bunk Puppets’ Hamish Fletcher conjures up astonishing lo-fi theatrical wizardry using only old boxes, bubble wrap, drinking straws, tennis balls, ping-pong bats and old toys.

Forget those ideas about shadow puppets in this epic journey as the brothers battle the bad guys.

Some elements may be scary for under-fives.
