Andrew Clinckers was sleeping in a Cooper Street house on December 13 when someone woke him at 2am to alert him to the fire.
‘It was terrifying knowing I could have lost my life,’ he said.
Michael Bobner regards the fire as a ‘deliberate attempt’ to take his life.
Both homeless men lost their meagre possessions in the fire.
Mr Clinckers said he was suspicious when he saw a vehicle driving slowly past the property before the fire.
Both men claim someone put dry grass under a door and lit it.
‘How could it not be suspicious,’ Mr Clinckers said.
‘It was at 2am and the door was closed’
