THE St Vincent de Paul Society’s annual Street Appeal is this Friday.

Volunteers will be out and about in the local area shaking a tin for Vinnies at Woolworths, the post office, Dan Murphy’s, Bunnings, the train station and Mandurah Forum.

All funds raised at the annual appeal allow the St Vincent de Paul Society to continue its good works and help people in need in WA.

St Vincent de Paul chief executive Mark Fitzpatrick said the money raised goes towards providing emergency relief and support to families and individuals.

“The society responds to welfare needs in the community by way of food, clothing, furniture and financial assistance,” he said.

“With a high cost of living and increases in the cost of utilities, we are experiencing a higher number of people struggling financially so we are hoping West Australians will give what they can.”
