Students deliver care packages for new mums

FOUR years 12 students from Mandurah Baptist College have enjoyed an “eye-opening” experience making care packages for teen mums.

The school and students partnered with Peel Youth Services to deliver the packages personally as well as having a chat with the young mums.

The students hand-made the items including a baby quilt, a hanging mobile, felt toys, an activity book as well as toiletry bags and bath bombs for the mum.

Greeted by the team at Peel Youth Services, the students were able to meet several expectant and new mums and cuddled babies.
