Jill BurgessMandurah Coastal Times

TWO Mandurah schools will perform in Patch Theatre’s The Moon’s a Balloon at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on May 3 and 4.

Choir leader Rose Brown and South Halls Head Primary School Senior Choir, along with the choir from Halls Head Community College lead by Rebecca Ream will be part of the performance.

Students have the chance to get professional guidance from Young Adelaide Voices artistic director Christie Anderson.

The students have been rehearsing for months and have given up much of their free time to practise.

To create a sense of wonder and mysticism, Patch Theatre uses something better than magic: they use science.

The Moon’s a Balloon is a moving and eloquent story that explores childhood play, invention, friendship and connection in a visual performance, complemented by magical lighting, digital imagery and a stunning soundscape.

It can be seen this Tuesday at 7pm and Wednesday, April 27 at 10am.
