Students’ work showcased at Enlightenment exhibition

JOHN Tonkin College has hosted its Enlightenment showcase exhibition.

Students studying, photography, visual art, dance and music presented their creative talents in an evening of visual and musical fun on August 28.

Special guests included Mandurah MLA David Templeman, Mandurah councillor Matt Rodgers and South Metropolitan Education Region assistant regional executive director Jim Bell.

The dance students performed in darkness with illuminated costumes, music students created the ambience with their various talents and the art students displayed sculpture, digital art and paintings. The photography students put on a movie of their work and displayed large prints.

 

Guest judges gave out three awards to photography students in the Year 12 Certificate II visual art photography class. First place went to Aimee Collyer, second to Louise Winmar and third to Georgia Newman.
