THERE are Small Things on the wall of the IGA store at Seascapes.

But there is nothing small about the gorgeous mural of a mermaid and shells, the latest in a long line by Mandurah artist Tahnee Kelland, who has been transforming the region with her art.

The launch of the mural by Mandurah MLA David Templeman, hosted by Seascapes Community Association, was very much a community affair with complementary coffee and cake and a large gathering of families.

Mr Templeman told youngsters at the launch that it was their mural and urged them to look after it.

Kelland’s earlier works include a kookaburra on the wall of Pinjarra Bakery, the flower swing in Mandurah’s Tuckey Lane and various murals in Perth.

The former Mandurah Catholic College student and full-time artist specialises in murals and can be contacted on Instagram at @Tahnee_Kelland or Facebook.
