Teen charged with burglary spree

MANDURAH Detectives have arrested a 16-year-old boy as a result of their ongoing investigations into numerous burglaries in the Dudley Park and Greenfields area as well as an incident in Greenfields where a woman was held at knifepoint.

It is alleged on Thursday, October 24, the youth forced entry into a home on Balwina Road, Greenfields and a 62-year-old woman in the home was threatened with a large knife.  It is further alleged verbal threats were made to the woman and jewellery was forcibly removed from her neck, personal items were smashed and a sum of cash was stolen.

It is also alleged, the youth was involved in numerous home burglaries within the Greenfields and Dudley Park areas between October 8 and 9 October and October 24.

The 16-year-old from Dianella has been charged with six counts of aggravated home burglary, five counts of stealing, three counts of attempted aggravated home robbery with intent, aggravated armed robbery, criminal damage, threaten to kill and breach of bail.

He is due to appear before the Perth Children’s Court today, 12 November 2019.
