Teenagers threatened with machete and robbed while fishing

Vanessa SchmittMandurah Coastal Times

FOUR teenage boys were robbed by a group, one armed with a machete, as they fished in Dawesville on Sunday.

Mandurah Detectives are investigating and said the boys were fishing on a jetty in Estuary Road, about 300m north of the Dawesville Foreshore Reserve at 3.15pm.

They were threatened by four males aged between 17 and 21 years old, one armed with a machete and another with a bottle.

They stole phones, cash and jewellery before leaving the area in an older model, dark Subaru Forester, with faded paint down the side and a plastic pod on the roof.
