The Dawesville Bridge Swing is coming back

THE Dawesville Bridge Swing is coming back.

In a WA first, the high-adrenaline swing was set up in December last year and many local thrill-seekers took the plunge.

Not-for-profit organisation Urban Descent plan to set up the swing on the 20m high bridge at the end of the year.

Urban Descent was created by Terry Hewett to promote philanthropy and foster community connections.

“We seek courage and commitment from both individual and corporate participants to challenge themselves and make a difference in their community while sharing a unique and exciting experience,” he said.

Participants can set up a MyCause fundraising account with money raised going towards charities such as the Cancer Council, Make-A-Wish Australia, Australian Alzheimer’s Foundation, Awards WA or Gilbert’s Potoroo Action Group.

The registrations fee is $150 and the minimum fundraising target is $750 or as set by the nominated charity.
