The Secret Garden: Madora Bay actor lands starring role in Melville Theatre production

Jill BurgessMandurah Coastal Times

MADORA Bay resident Christie McGarrity, a Year 9 Mandurah Baptist College student, is set to blossom in the musical The Secret Garden at Melville Theatre.

The musical is based on the classic children’s novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett and tells the story of 10-year old Mary Lennox (McGarrity), orphaned while living in India and returning to England to live with her embittered uncle Archibald who she has never met.

He is a recluse, tormented by insecurities over his physical impairments and haunted by dreams of his late wife.
