Teddy Bear Hospital pays visit to Halls Head Primary School

HALLS Head Primary School students who have been learning about How to be Kind to Themselves and support their learning, had a visit from the Teddy Bear Hospital.

The benefits of the hospital visit includes reduced fear in medical environments, education of health practices, creativity and imagination and encouragement and involvement in a fun community medicine program.

The Teddy Bear Hospital visit involved four stations – activities, waiting room, talk about visiting doctor and consultation, a treatment plan and a nursing station.

The children went through the stations, simulating a visit to the doctor and were provided with a health snack after finishing all the stations.
