Staff WriterMandurah Coastal Times

A MANDURAH mother has been revealed as Western Australia’s latest Lotto millionaire, stepping forward to claim a $1.4 million division one prize.

The woman only learned of her win after visiting Mandurah Greenfields Newsagency to check her ticket, nearly two weeks after the draw.

“The staff member asked to see me out the back and I thought to myself oh God, what have the kids done now?” the woman said.

“He then said I was the missing Division 1 winner and that I’d won $1.4 million.”

Ms Lawler said the woman was in a state of shock when told of her win, and was with her children as she visited Lotterywest’s Winners’ Room.

“She kept asking for reassurance that it wasn’t all a dream,” she said.

With only hours to go until tonight’s $30 million OZ Lotto jackpot, Ms Lawler said Lotterywest was hopeful the State could produce another multimillionaire.

“Tonight’s jackpot is a result of no one across the nation being able to match the seven winning numbers needed to take out OZ Lotto for four weeks now,” she said.

“We expect our retailers will churn out almost 300 tickets per minute as Lotto fever peaks here in Perth this afternoon.”
