Three Summers: Ben Elton in Mandurah for premier of new film on October 30

THE Red Carpet Charity Gala Premiere of the movie Three Summers is at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on Monday, October 30.

The evening includes a four-course dinner in the foyer, entertainment, a Q and A with Ben Elton and some of the cast, a premiere screening at Reading Cinemas and an after-party.

There will also be a charity auction of key props and costumes of the main characters, door prizes, a raffle, Three Summers merchandise and a CD of the soundtrack. Elton said he was proud to support the important work of national charity partner, the Foundation for Indigenous Sustainable Health, and the local work of the Lord Taverner’s Australia Peel branch.

Aboriginal elder and FISH senior manager Koodah Cornwall said the film was a great Australian yarn and a laugh while encouraging people to share each other’s stories to bring understanding.

Three Summers was filmed at Fairbridge, near Pinjarra and the cast includes John Waters, Magda Zubanski, Rebecca Breeds, Robert Sheehan, Deborah Mailman, Kelton Pell and Michael Caton.

Tickets available from mark.anderson@fish.asn.au or visit the Foundation’s Facebook page for more details. Three Summers goes on general release across Australia on November 2.
