His victim had injuries consistent with those of a person who had been in a car accident or hit by a cricket bat.

After the attack the man took his victim to her friend’s house, where he showered her and cared for her over a matter of days.

He told the friend someone on the internet had bashed her.

This occurred when the victim should have been at home or in the hospital, the prosecutor said. The victim eventually told her friend about what the man had done.

The man denied the charges made against him and the case went to trial. It took a jury 45 minutes to convict the man.

He will be eligible for parole in February 2025.
