Triple rollover captured on dashboard cam

A DASHCAM recorded the moment a VW Beetle lost control and flipped several times across Old Coast Road on July 5.

Craig and his wife were driving home from lunch at Bouvard Tavern when he captured the footage.

The VW driver sustained a head injury and was conveyed to Fiona Stanley Hospital via ambulance.

"Thankfully nobody else was hurt," he said.

"It could have been much worse, as he ended up on the other side of the divided road, narrowly missing traffic going in the opposite direction at 100km/h."

Craig said he installed the dashcam on his car after his wife encountered a serious accident on the Kwinana Freeway a few months ago.

"I wanted to use the cam to shame drivers on the road and there are so many," he said.

�But mostly it was for similar situations that my wife found herself in, when she drove into the wall of smoke a month or two back and found a stack of cars crashed into each other.

�I never thought we’d actually catch an accident like the one yesterday.

"We’d had such a nice lunch at the Bouvard Tavern as well."
