Two women charged over $140k burglary

TWO women have been arrested over an alleged burglary haul worth more than $140,000 from a Pinjarra engineering business.

Police say the women – both aged in their 30s – gained entry to shipping containers at a Munday Avenue business sometime between December 1 and 2.

It is alleged the women stole various tools and electrical wiring on reels before placing them on a trailer and using a brand new Landcruiser utility to get away.

Police allege another Landcruiser was also stolen with the vehicles valued at $70,000 each.

One of the vehicles was recovered on December 2 while police say the other was seen leaving an address in Greenfields by officers.

Mandurah detectives raided the home where the stolen items were allegedly located.

A 37-year-old Greenfields woman was charged with four counts of stealing a motor vehicle, one count of aggravated burglary and commit and two counts each of stealing and attempted stealing.

She is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.

The other woman, a 35-year-old also from Greenfields, has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle and having no authority to drive.

She is due to appear in Mandurah Magistrates Court on December 27.
