Viva Mexico: make Mexican moves in Mandurah

THE dances and music of Mexico will be showcased in Viva Mexico: Mexican Dance Fiesta (pictured right) at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on Sunday, September 4.

The free show is part of the Hot Shore Shuffle program and the Mexican Mariachi music ensemble is Perth’s most authentic.

At its core is the talented Marco Quiroz, a specialist Latin multi-instrumentalist from Chile.

Since migrating to Perth two decades ago, Quiroz has been prolific in creating a number of outstanding Latin American music groups such as Los Chasquis, LC Salsa, The Latin Gypsy Experiment and Rumba y Café.

His partner, Fabiola Giuffra, is a dynamic singer and percussionist of Latin- based music.

With an exciting line-up of percussion and brass musicians, Viva Mexico’s performances create the true sound of Mexican Mariachi festivities. They will be joined by the Friends of Mexico dancers, with their authentic performance.
