WANNANUP resident Sarah Thomas is livid someone stole her Christmas lights and decorations last night.

“I spent two days putting up those lights and they aren’t crappy little ones and some can’t be replaced,” she said.

“I had a big light Santa, a light tree, six lengths of solar flashing lights (two still in the box that I only purchased three days ago), a new light projector, a solar reindeer, Christmas wreath with lights and a little row of lights all stolen.”

Ms Thomas said the big light Santa had sentimental value because it was her step father’s, who passed away four years ago.

“It was his birthday yesterday so who ever did this doesn’t realise the full extent of their heartlessness,” she said.

There have been reports of Christmas lights stolen at other properties in Wannanup.

One resident said a car pulled up and checked out their lights; the lights were later stolen in the middle of the night.

Mandurah Police said they had not noticed a trend of stolen Christmas lights and decorations.
