The BBQ boats are made of fiberglass and equipped with electric outboard motors.

The seating for six to 10 people wraps around a central gas barbecue. The boats also feature a large overhead umbrella for shade.

A skipper’s ticket is not required to hire and self-drive.

The hire fee includes gas, cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils and oil and the Bluetooth sound system, that can be connected to any mobile device.

“We want to give our customers the most convenient experience,” owner Gerd Heinen said.

“They only need to bring their own food and drinks on the day and we take care of the rest.

“We also clean the dishes and the barbecue afterwards.”

The boats can be booked online 24 hours in advance so everything can be prepared and arranged .

Mr Heinen migrated from Germany to Mandurah a couple years ago and said he has always thought Mandurah would be the ideal location for this boating concept.

“Being an electronics engineer I was keen to take these unique boats to the next level of future technology: electro-mobility,” he said.

The emission-free state-of-the-art German high tech electric outboard motor allows to enjoy a tour on the waterways with no noise and no pollution of air and water.
