LONG term Mandurah resident Lisa Kelly has shared a video of Mandurah in 1970.

The video shows black swans in the estuary near the eastern foreshore, the Morton Bay fig trees on Mandurah Terrace and the Sholl Street and Pinjarra Road intersection.

There are no traffic lights and the video encapsulates the laid-back, relaxed ambience of the small tourist town.

Mrs Kelly said a family friend took the video while visiting from the UK.

She said the video also features her mother Barbara Bowen (now 87 years old) and her as a child sitting on a park bench eating lunch. Many seagulls are at their feet.

Mrs Kelly said she loved watching the video and remembering Mandurah as it had once been.
