SOME Dawesville residents were affected by weak water pressure today after the Water Corporation connected a water main from the new Melros Beach Estate to the water supply scheme.

Residents reported not enough water pressure to have a shower, pour a drink of water or flush the toilet throughout the day.

Water Corporation Perth regional manager Garth Walter said households and businesses in the area that were expected to have a temporary water outage were notified in advance.

“This caused an interruption to the water supply for about four hours.

“We apologise to those along Anaconda Loop who did not receive prior notification of the outage for any inconvenience caused.

“We thank the community in Dawesville who were impacted today for their patience while we carried out this essential work.”
