THE rains are here and a weather warning has been issued for Mandurah.
A rain band and strong cold front will cross western parts of the State on Saturday.
The Bureau of Meteorology said this front is likely to cause heavy rainfall conducive to flash flooding and they expect isolated thunderstorms.
Rainfall will develop down south and it is expected to hit Mandurah before 8am.
Surfers should avoid the beach as higher than normal tides may create dangerous surf conditions.
The bureau said there is a small risk that thunderstorms may produce winds in excess of 125km/ph.
They advise people to store or weigh down loose objects like outdoor furniture.
Have kit ready with a radio, torch, spare batteries and first aid kit inside.
Pets and cars need to be put undercover.
Boat owners should securely moor their boats.
For significant damage, like a badly damaged roof or flooding, call the SES on 132 500.
