PEEL Wellness Wed-nesday will be marked this week.
The event is being celebrated on the Mandurah Foreshore with free family fun from 10am to 2pm as part of Mental Health Week.
A committee of mental health services in Peel will show residents how they can act, belong and commit in the region.
Wellness Wednesday is a showcase of ways people can be part of the community in a positive way and encourages a focus on mental wellness in everyday life.
The day will start with a short community march from the Mewburn Centre, then the festivities continue on the eastern foreshore.
There will be sport and craft activities, face-painting and entertainment, a sausage sizzle and some of the Mandjar Markets.
Event co-ordinator Bethany Goulding said mental health was an important part of everybody’s overall wellbeing.
“Following the act, belong, commit message to look after your mental health can be so simple and so much fun,” she said.
