She recently received the Leisure Institute of WA Aquatics Presidents Award in recognition of her contribution to the Institute, water safety and the aquatic industry.
"It really took me by surprise; I had no idea I�d be winning this award," she said.
"To be nominated by my industry-wide peer group for this award is very humbling."

READ NOWMs Cole has been employed by the City since 2002, overseeing aquatic operations and training hundreds of lifeguards in Mandurah and around WA.
Her career as a pool manager started 26 years ago.
She is now a certified lifeguard and first aid trainer with the Royal Lifesaving Society of WA and a board member of the Leisure Institute of WA.
Ms Cole was awarded the institute's Outstanding Service Medal for 24 years of service and nominated for the City of Mandurah Citizen of the Year Award.
City chief executive Mark Newman said the council was delighted she had been recognised by her industry peers.
