Jill BurgessMandurah Coastal Times

Mr Redman said on Thursday that specific Peel projects through Royalties for Regions included $49.3 million to Transform Peel with a new agricultural and industrial precinct including Nambeelup Business Park; planning for Peel Integrated Water Initiative; new Peel Food Zone; and a share in $20 million under the Regional Estuaries Initiative to restore the health of the Peel-Harvey Inlet.

He said the Royalties for Regions investment would build infrastructure to grow the Peel and develop economic opportunities with projects such as the new Mandurah traffic bridge.

But Mr Templeman said the bridge replacement had been in the Budget for more than two years and Nambeelup Business Park was announced last month.
