GOING, going, gone – in just a matter of minutes Meadow Springs RAAFA occupational therapist Elissa Munro’s crowning glory was a thing of the past.

Elissa got the chop to support the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave fundraiser.

She did not know anyone with leukaemia but several members of her family had been touched by cancer and was her way of trying to make a difference.

She said it was scary to lose her hair and have her physical appearance altered but it was nothing compared to what people living with cancer and leukaemia underwent.
