RECENTLY, I had my first experience as a patient at Peel Health Campus for a knee replacement, and what a pleasant one it was.
Apart from the pain, my stay in the Barker Ward was made very pleasant, mainly by the wonderful staff, from the orderlies, meal personnel, cleaners and mostly by the wonderful nurses.
They were all dressed in their Christmas Scrubs (made by Joyce, one of the nurses), reindeer antlers, flashing necklaces and happy smiles all to help make my stay more pleasant.
I have recently read some negative letters about the hospital, but I cannot speak too highly of my stay there.
